Agriculture Bills Assault On States: TRS In RS
TRS MP K Keshava Rao today termed the agriculture bills eventually passed in the Rajya Sabha as a direct assault on the states' rights and the Constitution.
TRS MP K Keshava Rao today termed the agriculture bills that were eventually passed in the Rajya Sabha amid uproarious scenes, as a direct assault on the states' rights and the Constitution.
Talking in the house during its session that saw chaos as the opposition members stormed the podium and some Trinamul MPs tore up copies of the bills, Rao accused the BJP government of indulging in sabotaging the interests of the farmers of the country.
The passing the three bills would deprive the states of their rights in the agriculture sector, he claimed.
Rao also claimed that the bills would pave the way for corporate honchos and private bigwigs to loot the farmers.
The bills would not only take away the rights of the farmers, and they were also an attack on the Constitution and the federal spirit, he said.
The bills were anyway passed, and BJP chief J P Nadda thanked the house and the Modi government for the bills that he claimed would offer great benefits to the farmers in the future.
