Anticipating retaliation from Pakistan and its supporting entities against the "surgical strike" carried out by the Indian Army beyond the LoC on September 29, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and the Civil Aviation Department issued a high-level caution to several airports in India including the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad.
CISF and OCTOPUS personnel have been deployed at the airport and are carrying out security checks.
The Union government directed Telangana to generally beef up security and stay vigilant round the clock.
