The state government has sent additional forces to the violence-hit Adoni town, to bring the situation there under control. The forces are being led by an IGP rank officer.
After reviewing the situation with top police officials, including Director General Of Police V Dinesh Reddy, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy instructed everyone concerned to take tough measures against those trying to destabilise the law and order in the town.
Meanwhile, a delegation of Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) MLAs, led by floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi, gave a representation to the Chief Minister, alleging that the communal clashes in Adoni town were pre-planned.
He alleged that an organisation called Hinduvahini was behind the attacks. He claimed that several shops owned by the minority community were targeted, and that several houses were attacked in Valmiki Colony, Qazipura and Nizam Colony.
The Chief Minister assured the MIM that the government would take all measures necessary to contain the violence. Akbaruddin Owaisi was accompanied by MLAs Ahmed Pasha Quadri and Ahmed Balala. (INN)
