ABVP Demands BIE Withdraw "One Minute" Rule

The Telangana ABVP demanded that the state government abolish the one-minute late rule blocking students from taking the test if late.
Hyderabad | 4th March 2017
Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Telangana State secretary L Ayyappa demanded that the state government abolish the one-minute late rule blocking students from taking the test if they arrived at their centres late.

He said that 46,285 students of the first and second years had lost their chances of writing the Intermediate examinations due to the one-minute rule.

He also asked Ranjeev Acharya, Special Chief Secretary of the Higher Education Department, not to support corporate colleges and corrupt practices. He reminded her of the recent Vasavi Junior College issue, and demanded that the Board of Intermediate Education remove Ashok Kumar from his position immediately.
