Abdullapurmet Tahsil Office Reopens After 24 Days
The office was closed after then Tahsildar K Vijaya Reddy was burnt alive by a farmer enraged at not getting his Pattadar passbook even after several rounds.
After being closed for 24 days, the Abdullapurmet Tahsil office reopened its doors on Thursday.
The officials performed a puja first and then resumed their duties.
New Tahsildar K Venkat Reddy took charge on November 23.
For the uninitiated, the Abdullapurmet Tahsil office was closed after then Tahsildar K Vijaya Reddy was burnt alive by a farmer Suresh enraged at not getting his Pattadar passbook even after several rounds to the office.
The farmer also died after the incident, of the burns he himself sustained during the incident.
