Aam Aadmi Party leaders and activists on Monday mobbed Union Minister G Kishan Reddy's convoy at the Hyderabad district Collectorate in Abids, and raised slogans shouting "Narendra Modi Down Down" and created a commotion for some time.
When the union minister reached the Collectorate to attend a program, the Aam Aadmi Party leaders and workers, who were staging a dharna before the Collectorate under the leadership of Indira Shobhan demanding that the Centre reduce the soaring prices of petrol, diesel and essential commodities, spotted him.
Soon after, as the minister's convoy started to leave the collectorate after a program, the AAP workers and leaders gheraoed it and created tension in the area.
This resulted in heated arguments between some BJP corporators and the Aam Aadmi Party leaders and workers.
However, the police intervened and cajoled both the groups to disperse.
