Bapatla MP and Union Petroleum Minister Panabaka Lakshmi today announced that the linking of Aadhar cards with the distribution of subsidised cooking gas cylinders has been postponed by 2 months.
The deadline for the same, which was announced to be this 15th, has been sending people all over the state scrambling to
Aadhar Centres, causing
further chaos in what was a chaotic procedure to begin with.
Protests from various quarters had caused Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy to
seek an extension of the time given to enroll for Aadhar before various subsidies and schemes become linked with it.
A favorable response on the same has been recieved today, assured Lakshmi, and also said that the Centre will be looking into all the discrepancies taking place in the enrollment procedure.
