372 Bridges Built In Telangana So Far, 257 In Pipeline
The government was spending Rs. 3,050 crore for the construction of the bridges, Roads and Buildings Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy said.

The construction works for a bridge on the Krishna river in Somasila village of the Kollapur Assembly constituency will commence soon.
This was revealed by Roads and Buildings Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy while replying to questions raised by MLAs on the construction of new bridges, in the Assembly.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the government had sanctioned 629 bridges in the state, and that 372 had been completed so far.
He said that the remaining 257 bridges were at different stages of completion, and that they would all be completed by June 2022.
Reddy said that the government was spending Rs. 3,050 crore for the construction of the bridges.
Commenting on the Somasila bridge, he said that the government had submitted a couple of reports to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on the issue, and that the minister had notified a 170 km long NH-167 from Kalwakurthy to Nandyal of Andhra Pradesh via Nagarkurnool, Kollapur and the Somasila bridge.
He said that the government had sanctioned Rs. 600 crore for the Somasila bridge, and that a survey was underway now.
The survey would be complete in a month, and the government would prepare a DPR after the survey and take up the land acquisition process before the commencement of the bridge construction works, he added.
The construction would be complete in nine months, he claimed.
