Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, on Wednesday, directed the Visakhapatnam District Collector to order a probe into the mishap at a quarry in Singanapalli, in which 3 persons were killed and 8 others sustained injuries.
The Chief Minister directed the District Collector to monitor all rescue and relief operations at the quarry, in which coloured stones were mined, and to provide better medical facilities to all those injured.
He also directed the District Collector to order a probe into the mishap and submit a report to him.
According to reports, 3 labourers were killed in the mishap at the quarry, in which the earth caved in, at Singanapalli in G K Street in Visakhapatnam district, on Wednesday.
The victims have been identified as Sankara Rao, Balaiah and Balanna. 2 persons were still missing, and 8 others sustained severe injuries.
The police and fire personnel have been pressed into service to rescue the people from the debris. (INN)
