City Police Commissioner M Mahender Reddy on Thursday imposed restrictions on the movement of vehicular traffic on certain roads to facilitate works related to the Hyderabad Metro Rail.
"In order to relieve congestion, to maintain a smooth flow of traffic and to ensure public safety and order, in connection with the erection of the permanent barricades for the foundation and pier activities of the Metro Rail from the Chaderghat X Roads to the Malakpet Railway Over-Bridge, for a period of two months, certain restrictions and diversions are being imposed," said the Commissioner.
As per the notification, all the traffic - 2-wheelers, cars, Light Motor Vehicles etc. - coming from Kalikhaber Road towards Malakpet will take a diversion at the Chaderghat X Roads:
Left turn via Chaderghat bridge - right turn - Chaderghat - right turn - Chaderghat Cause-Way to Malakpet
All the RTC buses coming from the MGBS towards Dilsukhnagar will take a diversion at the Chaderghat X Roads:
Left turn via Chaderghat bridge - right turn - Chaderghat - right turn - Chaderghat Cause-Way to Malakpet
Similarly, all the traffic coming from the DMHS and Koti towards Malakpet, instead of going via the Chaderghat bridge, will take a diversion at the Chaderghat X Roads towards the Chaderghat Causeway.
The district RTC buses coming from the MGBS will be diverted at the Chaderghat X Roads, and travel via the Nimboliadda - Amberpet - Golnaka Bridge - Moosarambagh X Roads route towards L B Nagar.
Likewise, all the vehicular traffic coming from Dilsukhnagar to reach Malakpet / MGBS / Koti will be diverted at Moosarambagh (the left side) towards the Golnaka Bridge - Amberpet - Nimboliadda - Chaderghat route to reach Koti / MGBS / Charminar etc. (INN)
