The government of Telangana is organising "Bharat Summit 2025", a significant global event scheduled for April 25 and 26 at the HICC Novotel, which will bring together 450 delegates from over 100 countries.
The summit is expected to see participation from more than 100 political parties, along with 40 to 50 ministers and up to 50 members of parliament and senators.
The State government announced that all necessary preparations for the summit were in place, and shared a related video on its official X account highlighting it as a path-setting opportunity for the world.
Speaking to the media, Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka claimed that the summit would make a significant mark in history. He said that the decisions made during the summit would be implemented in Telangana.
He also said that the State's culture and traditions would be showcased to the international representatives in the two days.
Vikramarka said that the two-day conference would enhance the celebrations of the 140th anniversary of the formation of the Congress and the 70th anniversary of the Bandung Conference that laid the seeds of the Non-Aligned Movement.
"The Telangana government is organising the first edition of this conference at a time when major geopolitical, political, economic and democratic changes are taking place in the world. Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge will deliver keynote addresses in the summit. Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi and party General Secretary K C Venugopal will also address the gathering. And Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will speak about the Telangana Rising initiative, explaining to international investors and aspiring entrepreneurs about investing in Telangana," Vikramarka said.
Former Argentine Foreign Minister Jorge Tiana, former Colombian Labour Minister and Senator Clara Lopez Obregon, former Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde, Cuban Communist Party International Affairs Head Emilio Lozada, Malaysian Justice Minister M Kula Segaran, and prominent political party leaders of India including Digvijay Singh, Pawan Khera, Supriya Srinath, Salman Khurshid, Jyotimani and others would attend the conference, he added.
