16,000 Teacher Posts In Telangana To Be Filled Soon
Telangana Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Education Kadiam Srihari today said the state government would fill 16,000 teacher posts in the near future.
Telangana Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Education Kadiam Srihari today said the state government would fill 16,000 teacher posts in the near future.
He paid rich tributes to Dr S Radhakrishnan on the occasion of Teachers' Day at Ambedkar Bhavan in Hanmakonda in Warangal district.
Speaking on the occasion, Srihari accused the previous united AP governments of neglecting the education sector.
"If they had not ignored the education sector, we would have been competing with other nations in terms of development now," he said.
He also alleged that the previous rulers had ruined the education sector by considering the funds spent as investment instead of focusing on quality education and facilities.
"The TRS government is now cleansing the mess in the sector and spending huge funds for rolling out the best students. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is striving to provide the best education with all possible facilities. The credit for launching 525 Gurukul institutions in the state goes to KCR. With our efforts the number of students in government schools has increased significantly as many students have shifted from private schools in the past three years. The government will also offer awards to the best teachers from next year based on merit and performance, to further motivate teachers to give their best," he said.
He appealed to the teachers to focus on the quality education, and said that they need not apply or lobby for the awards.
