Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari on Friday announced that the Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT) would be conducted on the basis of the ten erstwhile districts of Telangana, and not the 31 districts carved out from the existing ones recently.
The announcement followed the Hyderabad High Court ruling on Friday that the direct recruitment for the posts apropos the Teachers Rules, 2017, issued by the Telangana government by considering the 31 reorganized districts as the local area for recruitment, was in violation of the relevant Presidential Order.
It may be recalled that G Arun Kumar and three others had earlier filed a petition in the court challenging the rules issued by the government regarding the TRT.
Later, Srihari asked the officials to go ahead as per the court directive for the TRT drive. "We will soon issue another notification and give details," he said.
