The Nampally city civil court, on Wednesday, quashed a petition disputing the title of 'Prince' Mahesh Babu's 'Khaleja', which is scheduled to hit screens globally on October 7th.
With this decision, fans of Mahesh Babu have heaved a sigh of relief, as the suspense over the release of the film has ended.
The Court, after hearing the producers C Kalyan and Singanamala Ramesh Babu's version, directed them to go forward with the title of 'Mahesh Khaleja'.
The Court ruled that 'Mahesh Khaleja' and 'Khaleja' were 2 different titles, so the petition filed by owner of Nityasri Productions S Vijay Bhaskar Reddy was not valid.
S Vijay Bhaskar Reddy, producer and owner of Nityasri Productions, had filed a
petition in the Nampally court last Friday, claiming that the film's title had been registered by him first, and that it belonged to him.
Accepting the petition, the Court had issued notices to producers C Kalyan and Singanamala Ramesh, and directed them to appear before the court.
Ignoring Bhaskar Reddy's plea, the producers changed the title to 'Mahesh Khaleja'.
