Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu today released "Modati Patham", a book written by noted educationist Chukka Ramaiah.

Speaking on the occasion, Naidu congratulated Ramaiah for his efforts in making entry to the IITs possible for all students rich and poor alike. The septuagenarian had rendered great service to our education system, and his students had achieved great success and were in high positions in India and abroad, Naidu said. The fact that coaching was required to secure a seat in Ramaiah’s coaching institution itself was a testimony to the standard of excellence he brought, the VP added. Through his book, Ramaiah's experiences as a teacher would guide the current generation of teachers and become great reference for them, he said.

The Vice-President further said that today there was a need to inculcate a sense of pride among students in talking in their own mother tongue, make them respecting their teachers and elders, and love their own country.

The VP also extended birthday wishes to Chukka Ramaiah.

Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari, who was also present, said that Ramaiah’s book would be provided by the Telangana government to all state libraries, and every teacher would be given a copy.

Former Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council Chairman Dr A Chakrapani, Telangana Press Academy Chairman Allam Narayana, and TSPSC Chairman G Chakrapani were also present.
