Telugu Nadu Students Federation (TNSF), the Telangana TDP students' wing, on Thursday tried to lay siege to the TSPSC office demanding the release of notifications for the filling of vacant government posts in the state.
However, their attempts were foiled by the police, and the TNSF leaders were taken into preventive custody.
The TNSF leaders said that the state government had announced that there were 1,08,000 vacant posts in the government. However, there were no notifications for the last three-and-a-half years, with the government giving all kinds of excuses for that, and the youth getting increasingly more frustrated.
The leaders warned the state government that if there was any further delay in filling up the vacant posts, they would lay siege to the Telangana Assembly with one lakh unemployed youth and students.
