KCR Only CM Doing A Lot For Muslims: MIM
Showering praises on the CM, MIM leader in the Telangana Assembly Akbaruddin Owaisi predicted that the TRS-MIM alliance would sweep the 2019 Assembly elections.

Claiming that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was treating all castes and religions equally in the state, MIM floor leader in the Telangana Assembly Akbaruddin Owaisi today predicted that the TRS-MIM alliance would sweep the 2019 Assembly elections.
He added that the Congress would not be able to win even a single seat in the next elections, almost just like what happened in the GHMC elections.
Participating in a short discussion on minority welfare on Wednesday in the Assembly, Owaisi opined that the post of a Chief Minister was too small for K Chandrashekar Rao, who had been taking historic decisions for the welfare of all sections of the society.
Showering praises on the CM, Owaisi said that KCR was relentlessly striving for the upliftment of the Muslims. He said that the Muslims needed to constantly fight for budgets in united Andhra Pradesh, but that that was no longer the case.
"The Congress did nothing for the region's Muslims in the last 70 years, except former Chief Minister late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy who provided reservations to the Muslims, even though that was upon pressure mounted by the MIM," he said.
However, the current Chief Minister had magnanimously allotted 10 acres for an Islamic centre as against the request for five acres, wa giving scholarships to Muslim students irrespective of marks and ranks, was providing coaching for the UPSC exams (for IAS and IPS selections) for Muslim students, was paying Rs 1,000 monthly as pension for imams and moazams, and had established residential schools for Muslim students, something that no other state in the country had done, Owaisi said.
The credit for the Muslim students pursuing education in foreign countries also went solely to the Chief Minister, the MIM MLA added.
The KCR government was announcing one welfare program after the other for the benefit of all sections of people, he said, and urged the government to announce a special DSC for Urdu-speaking unemployed youth, too, as part of that.
