TRS chief KCR's son K Taraka Rama Rao charged that Naidu is among the richest politicians in the world with properties worth Rs. 20,000 crores credited to him.
The Telugu Desam Party's (TDP) annual meet Mahanadu at Gandipet, according to the TDP politburo, was to discuss the party's resolutions and methods of tackling the problems plaguing the people. However, the average man tracking the news would have noticed that a surprisingly large chunk of the event was spent slinging mud at various political parties.
The Congress was condemned for its alleged inefficiency, Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy was challenged to move the no-confidence motion against the ruling part, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) was slammed and both YSR Congress Party and the TRS were prophesied to merge with the Congress sooner or later.
Numerous TDP leaders spoke elaborately, and together the party managed to condemn an impressively long list of politicos in the state.
If it was not external politics, family drama and internal differences ruled the event. The issue of the next-gen TDP chief surfaced and stayed there even though the proposed "contenders" themselves (N Lokesh and Jr. NTR) were not present at the Mahanadu.
The targeted politicos have all returned the volley of words, and the latest outfit to do so is the TRS. Party chief KCR's son K Taraka Rama Rao charged that Naidu is among the richest politicians in the world with properties worth Rs. 20,000 crores credited to him.
KTR demanded that the government probe the assets of the TDP chief, and he stated that KCR's wealth may also be probed into.
Naidu has been censured by various Telangana leaders for not declaring a pro-Telangana stand at the Mahanadu.
