YSRTP Chief Y S Sharmila Continues Indefinite Fast

She vowed that she would continue her fast till the police gave permission for the padyatra.
Hyderabad | 10th December 2022
YSR Telangana Party president Y S Sharmila continued her indefinite fast for the second day on Saturday at her residence in Hyderabad, protesting against the declining of permission by the police for her padyatra in Warangal.

Sharmila along with her mother Y S Vijayamma continued the fast at their Lotus Pond residence in Banjara Hills.

The YSRTP leader was arrested on Friday from the Dr Ambedkar statue on the Tank Bund and was brought to her residence, where she then started a fast-unto-death protesting the government's rejection of permission.

She also demanded that the other arrested leaders of her party be immediately and unconditionally released.

She vowed that she would continue her fast till the police gave permission for the padyatra.

Meanwhile, police were deployed in large numbers at her residence as part of the precautionary measures.
