Telugu Desam Party MLA A Revanth Reddy on Thursday alleged that the YSR Congress Party plans to plunder the natural resources of Telangana by opposing the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.

Talking to reporters at the NTR Trust Bhavan here, Revanth Reddy said that late Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy along with his son Jagan Mohan Reddy looted the state during the former's regime as the Chief Minister.

He said that now his family wants to continue the practice through the YSR Congress Party.

Despite supporting statehood for Telangana during its plenary session, the YSRCP, he said, was planning to encash upon the Samaikhyandhra sentiment by opposing the bifurcation.

Revanth Reddy said that the YSRCP was enacting a political drama aimed at looting the natural resources of Telangana region by keeping the State united. He accused the YSRCP leaders of trying to provoke the sentiments of people on the statehood issue. (INN)
