The expert committee that was set up to probe the helicopter crash that killed former CM YSR submitted its report to Rosaiah on Thursday, and ruled out the possibility of conspiracy or sabotage in the crash.
The 2-member committee, consisting of M R Reddy and H S Kola, said that the conspiracy angle was looked into in detail. The Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) had recorded no other voices except that of the pilot. They said that the pilot was probably trying to lift the helicopter because it was losing height because of fast winds, but could not. There was no engine failure either, the committee said.
The pilot could not be said to have made an error of judgment either, as he had full information before departure.
Also, the chopper is reported to have an outdated Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT), and did not have the frequency to communicate with a satellite.
