YSRCP Protests During Oct 17-21 For Special Status
The YSR Congress announced its future course of actions to exert pressure on the TDP as well as the Union government for the granting of special status to AP.
In support of special status to Andhra Pradesh, and given the government breaking the fast of its leader Y S Jaganmohan Reddy on the 7th day by forcibly hospitalizing him and injecting fluids into him, the YSR Congress Party today announced its future course of actions to exert pressure on the TDP as well as the Union government.
Giving details of the programs, YSRCP official spokesperson Ambati Rambabu said that the party would start with a protest rally from the Vijayawada PWD grounds to the Chief Minister's camp office on Wednesday. Party MPs, MLAs and other leaders would participate in the protest march, he said.
Rallies on October 18, dharnas in front of government offices on October 19, candle light rallies on October 20 and dharnas in front of bus depots on October 21 will be the other actions.
A relay hunger strike will also be observed from October 17 to 21.
