Activists of the Youth Congress and the BJYM today staged a massive protest in front of the TSPSC office in Nampally.
The activists raised slogans against the State government and the TSPSC officials for "committing a question paper scam".
They alleged that the Commission and the State government were playing with the lives of the lakhs of unemployed youth, and said that the Chairman of the Commission Janardhan Reddy should resign from his post immediately.
They also said that the TSPSC should be attached to the UPSC.
During the protest, the activists tried to break the sign board of the commission. However, the police thwarted their attempts.
Meanwhile, aspirants of the government jobs for which the exams are being conducted are reportedly expressing their doubts over the Group-1 preliminary exam.
Many of them feel that the leakage of the question paper involves the involvement of senior officials.
Elsewhere, founder-president of the Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) M Kodandaram extended his party's support to the agitating activists of various political parties.
He said that the protests by the job aspirants in the wake of the leakage of a question paper by some staff of the commission was justified. Terming the paper leakage "scam" brutal, he demanded that the State government order a detailed inquiry into it.
