Congress spokesperson N Tulasi Reddy, on Thursday, accused YSR Congress honorary president Y S Vijayamma of adopting double standards on the demise of former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.
Talking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan, he said that Vijayamma, who had earlier claimed that YSR had died due to bad weather, was now expressing doubts over his death by suggesting a conspiracy theory.
Although Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy had asked Vijayamma to produce evidences so that a probe may be ordered into the helicopter crash, Vijayamma was unnecessarily dragging the matter into a controversy, for mileage in the by-elections, he said.
Tulasi Reddy said that the people of the state would not believe Vijayamma's claims. Stating that the law would take its own course, he said that the Congress was in no way connected to
Jagan's arrest by the CBI.
He pointed out that it was Vijayamma who had filed a petition in the court seeking a CBI probe into Naidu's assets, and that now, she was claiming that Jagan's arrest was illegal. (INN)
