» Y S Jaganmohan Reddy's Nod Can Topple The Government: Ambati
Ambati Lashes Out At CM
Ambati Rambabu lashed out at Kiran Kumar Reddy saying that Jaganmohan Reddy could make all the Congress legislators loyal to him resign from their posts.
Suspended Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) General Secretary Ambati Rambabu on Sunday scoffed at the statement made by the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy in New Delhi on Saturday, in which he dared former Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to pull down the government.
Talking to media persons, Rambabu said that loyalists of Jaganmohan Reddy were just waiting for a nod by him to resign from their posts.
He, however, added that if Jaganmohan Reddy gave them the nod, the legislators in the Congress party would not hesitate to resign from their posts, thus effectively putting the government in a minority.
"The decision on submitting resignations to their elected posts will be taken at an appropriate time," Rambabu said.
He also criticized the Chief Minister for questioning Jaganmohan Reddy's experience.
Citing the example of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, Rambabu said that the late leader had no experience when his mother Indira Gandhi died. The suspended PCC General Secretary added,"The Congress party still chose Rajiv Gandhi to lead the nation and appointed him as the Prime Minister, despite his inexperience and lack of contribution to the party till he was made the Prime Minister."
Rambabu further added that there was no guarantee that posts would be given to those who serve the party loyally.
He also pointed out that Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy could not even pronounce a few words properly in Telugu during the oath-taking ceremony. He asked,"How can someone who does not even speak the language properly during the oath-taking ceremony serve the Telugu people efficiently?"
