A day after submitting resignations, Congress MLAs, owing allegiance to the YSR Congress Party, on Tuesday went to YSR's samadhi at Idupulapaya in Kadapa district, and paid rich tributes to him.
The MLAs, raising slogans in support of YSR, vowed to intensify their "awareness campaign" among people, regarding the Congress party targeting YSR and his family by "implicating them in false cases".
The MLAs said that they would not reverse their decision on resignations and would remain loyal to YSR.
MLA Babu Rao slammed the state government for tarnishing the image of YSR by figuring his name in the FIR. He said the Congress had hatched a conspiracy "to remove YSR's name from the hearts of people", and added that people were unable to believe the fact that the CBI had named YSR as a conspirator, in the FIR.
The MLAs vowed that they would take YSR's schemes and programs to people and seek justice from them in the public court.
He said people would teach a fitting lesson to both Congress and TDP in the next elections for tarnishing the image of YSR and for conspiring to finish off Jagan's political career.
According to sources, the MLAs will discuss their future course of action after meeting YSR Congress Party president Jaganmohan Reddy, who was in Odarpu yatra in Krishna district, on August 30 in Hyderabad. (INN)
