Nellore Congress MLA Anam Vivekananda Reddy alleged that the TRS has a secret pact with YSR Congress for the approaching by-elections, and that the 2 have ganged up even though the latter has not made its stand on Telangana clear.
"Y S Jagan has mortgaged the self-respect of Seemandhra people by having a 'secret agreement' that his party would not nominate its candidates in the by-elections held in the Telangana region," Anam Vivekananda Reddy told reporters at the CLP office.
He also said that the pact is that the YSR Congress will nominate its candidates only in the coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions, and that TRS chief KCR will nominate his candidates in the Telangana region, in order to avoid further division of votes.
"How could Jagan make a pact with KCR, who slammed Seemandhra people and is responsible for looting the wealth from the Telangana region?" Reddy questioned.
"While YSR fought to keep the state united during his tenure, his son Jagan is working against the interests of an integrated state, and has tied up with protagonists of Telangana," he added.
"Seemandhra will teach a fitting lesson to Jagan in the upcoming by-elections for betraying the interests of United Andhra people," Kamalapuram MLA Veerasiva Reddy said. (INN)
