The Chief Minister Revanth Reddy-led "Telangana Rising" delegation has secured a L'Or?al Global Capability Centre (GCC) investment.
Scheduled to be inaugurated in November 2026 in Hyderabad, the facility will be the world's first GCC in the beauty-tech niche.
The decision was announced during the delegation's meeting with Nicolas Hieronimus, Chief Executive Officer of L'Or?al. The CEO expressed his delight at setting up a large-scale beauty-tech GCC in Hyderabad with a significant investment.
The GCC will serve the world-renown cosmetics company as a global hub for innovation, technology, data and supply chain operations. The facility will support L'Or?al's digital transformation, AI and analytics initiatives worldwide, boosting Hyderabad's growing stature as a key centre for global enterprise operations. Tech solutions generated from the GCC would be deployed across L'Or?al facilities worldwide, Hieronimus said.
The cosmetics major invited Revanth Reddy and IT & Industries Minister Sridhar Babu to attend the GCC inauguration.
Sridhar Babu recalled that Revanth Reddy was keen to bring L'Or?al's GCC investment to Hyderabad, and had offered all possible support from the government. He added that Hyderabad was the best destination for investments, and that the State government was ready to extend all possible support to global investors.
He also said that Telangana was leading the GCC space not only in the med-tech and health-tech sectors but also in creating new categories including beauty-tech, thereby opening up new opportunities.
"Several hospitality majors, including Marriott, are also setting up GCCs in Telangana. Major global companies such as Vanguard, Netflix, McDonald's, Heineken, Jaggaer and Costco Wholesale have also recently chosen Hyderabad to establish their GCCs," he added.
During the meeting, the delegation explained the launch of the Telangana AI Innovation Hub (TAIH), which was reportedly of interest to the L'Or?al CEO.
ITE&C and Industries Special Chief Secretary Sanjay Kumar invited L'Or?al to explore manufacturing opportunities in Hyderabad in addition to the GCC investment. "Considering the robust ecosystem and infrastructural advantages of our State, we would like L'Or?al to consider Telangana in its future manufacturing plans," he said.
