Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy today claimed that the Congress would return to power in 2019.
Speaking at the Congress training camp in Bowenpally, he claimed that the people of Telangana were unhappy with the present government ever since the bifurcation of united Andhra Pradesh, as Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had done little for the welfare of the people of Telangana.
He recollected BJP national president Amit Shah's statement that the TRS government had spent Rs. 90,000 crores to "purchase" legislators of other parties, and supported the BJP's corruption allegations against KCR.
Reddy also said that the State government had misused the input subsidy released by the Centre.
KCR hadn't fulfill a single assurance that he had made during the 2014 elections, he alleged.
He also pointed out that the TRS had behaved in an undemocratic manner by arresting several Opposition leaders during various protests this year.
"We won't forget the troubles created by the ruling Party leaders for our own. We will treat the TRS the same way after coming to power in 2019," he warned the TRS.
