Will Purchase Every Seed From Farmers: Niranjan Reddy

Telangana Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy today said that the government would procure all the produce and "every seed" from the farmers.

The minister also instructed the officials to avoid causing inconvenience to the farmers while procuring their produce, and avoid delays.

Reddy was addressing a meeting at Wanaparthy with officials and farmers.

"There will be no delaying in the procurement, and the farmers should avoid worrying about it," he said. "The farmers will get MSP for their produce, and the officials have been asked to purchase every seed from them."

"There has been a significant increase in the crop output in Telangana to the irrigation projects' completion. That is the reason for advisories and suggestions. However, all the necessary arrangements have been made for more storage in the state now, with all the districts getting their due storage capacity. And we have set up an adequate number of purchase centres in the villages and mandals. So there is no need for panic among the farmers about being able to sell off their produce," the minister added.
