Senior Telangana Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao said that he would not agree to the re-entry of former PCC chief and minister and present TRS Rajya Sabha member D Srinivas into the party as the latter had left the party when it was in trouble and was coming back only because the TRS had sidelined him.
He said that Srinivas would instantly revert to praising the Chief Minister and TRS party chief K Chandrashekar Rao if KCR so much as said "Seenanna", and asked all other party leaders to think deeply about considering a re-entry for Srinivas.
For the uninitiated, Dharmapuri Srinivas, once a top leader in the Congress, joined the ruling TRS in 2015 after being denied an MLC ticket (he had lost the 2014 elections). However, he is in the eye of a storm in the party now after a couple of weeks back Nizamabad MP K Kavitha sent a letter to the TRS boss KCR, her father, asking for DS to be ousted for anti-party activities.
