"Will Help Abu Dhabi Fire Accident Victim's Kin"

Minister K T Rama Rao said that the State government would help the kin of the victims of the Abu Dhabi fire accident that took place recently.

Telangana IT & NRI Affairs Minister K T Rama Rao today said that the State government would help the kin of the victims of the Abu Dhabi (UAE) fire accident that took place recently.

Rao directed the officials of his ministry to bring the bodies of the deceased back to India, and be work in tandem with the Ministry of External Affairs and Sushma Swaraj.

The External Affairs Deputy Secretary wrote K T R a letter confirming that he was in touch with the ministry in Abu Dhabi for the expeditious arrival of the bodies.

The State government had also urged embassy officials of both the nations to initiate steps to retrieve the bodies, he said.

For those who came in late, around 16 persons died, including five from Telangana, in a fire that broke out in a building in Abu Dhabi late into the night on Oct 19. The 16 were working for the Gulf Dunes Landscaping and Agriculture Services company. The victims hailing from Telangana include T Rakesh, P Naresh, Prakash Malavath, M Naresh and G Akhilesh.
