A strange incident of smoke emanating from the earth in MKPalli village under Halaharvi mandal of Kurnool district this morning caused panic among the farmers who were working in their fields.
Strange sounds were also reportedly heard from the location.
The locals informed the revenue officials about the phenomenon immediately. However, the smoke disappeared the moment the revenue officials arrived.
A villager captured a video of the incident and uploaded it on a social network. The video is now going viral.
The officials, along with the police, are investigating the incident. The police suspect that some miscreants might have set agriculture produce afire to create panic among the villagers.
