The YSR Congress chief accused the TDP of habitually forgetting its poll promises, and of making undeliverable promises to seek votes.

Reiterating that this election was a battle between the politics of credibility and honesty on one side and the politics of conspiracy and opportunism on the other, Y S Jaganmohan Reddy appealed to the people to reject the forces that have been doling out impossible and hyperbolic promises, and vote for the YSRCP's fan symbol to usher in the YSR welfare state again.
Addressing a gathering as part of his YSR Jana Bheri at Kurnool on Monday, Reddy said, "I appeal to you to vote for safeguarding the Telugu pride which will take its due place at the Centre, and to dust away those forces that are willingly scrambling to obey the Delhi dictates."
Claiming that the YSRCP would win all the MP seats, he said that the Party would show its might to Delhi and bring enough funds from the Centre to develop the State, without being submissive.
He accused the TDP of surrendering to the BJP for the sake of votes and seats.
"YSR is remembered by the people even today as his welfare schemes could reach out to the people, and after his death credibility and honesty have become a rare commodity in the state polity. Chandrababu Naidu, who reversed all of the TDP's poll promises, including increasing the price of rice from Rs. 2 a kg, lifting prohibition and allowing belt shops to sprout across the State, is again coming to the people with false promises. He has a proven record of forgetting all the promises after elections," Jagan said.
He also accused the TDP chief of misleading the people. He said that the total agriculture loans in the state were Rs. 1.27 lakh crores, while the DWACRA loans were over Rs. 20,000 crores. "Chandrababu Naidu has no magic wand to waive off such a huge amount of nearly Rs. 1.50 lakh crore. The State budget itself is less than the amount he has promised to waive," he stated.
He also ridiculed the TDP's promise of offering 1 job per family. "There are 3.5 crore families in the state, and it is impossible to provide employment in that scale. He is only misguiding people to seek votes," Jagan said.
The YSRCP chief said that the moment he assumed office, he would sign 5 files and take up 6 issues announced by him earlier, which would change the course of the State. (INN)
