Telangana State Planning Commission deputy chairman and former MP B Vinod Kumar today expressed his displeasure at BJP leader and former minister Etala Rajender for the latter's criticism of the state government.
While addressing a program at his office in Hanmakonda, Kumar said, "Seeking top posts is common in politics. Trying to become CM by dumping one's own party supremo, however, is not acceptable. Etala Rajender's comments against the welfare schemes being implemented by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao despite having himself been part of the Cabinet responsible for the introduction of the schemes is condemnable."
"KCR supported Rajender for years. However, the leader only cheated the CM, the TRS, and our government. The CM was patient even though Rajender has been making unfounded comments about our welfare programs for some time now. However, the former minister has not stopped talking ill of the government," he added.
The former MP also hit out at Rajender for "trying to become CM by dethroning KCR", and stated, "It is saddening to hear that Rajender has been trying to usurp KCR's chair. Finance Minister T Harish Rao has already revealed Rajender's true intentions. However, the BJP leader's continuous stream of complaints against the CM will not help him further his interests. The TRS leadership and the people of Huzurabad will not forgive him for betraying his own party. They will not support him even though he has been trying to woo them with gifts. Many have returned the BJP's gifts as they support our party."
Kumar claimed that the people in the state were a happy lot as a result of the TRS regime's welfare schemes.
