In the absence of Justice Naga Maruthi Sarma of the CBI Special Court, the Economic Offences Special Court in Nampally, on Tuesday, extended Vijay Sai Reddy's custody to 17 January.
The CBI counsel sought a week-long custody extension, in light of the fact that Vijay Sai Reddy was not cooperative on 3 of the 5 days of investigation, and that he only gave information on the remaining 2 days.
Further, the CBI counsel said that it is yet to question Vijay Sai Reddy on his economic transactions abroad.
The counsel also stated that it would like to file a petition seeking the court's permission to conduct a polygraph test on Vijay Sai Reddy in the case that he does not cooperate.
The court also directed the CBI to interrogate him between 10am and 5pm in his lawyer's presence, while permitting him to stay in Chanchalguda prison. (INN)
