Veteran Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao today targeted Vanama Raghava, the son of TRS MLA Vanama Venkateswara Rao who represents the Kothagudem Assembly constituency, and alleged that the MLA's son had also encroached upon assigned lands of the poor people of the undivided Khammam district.
Speaking to media persons at the Congress headquarters in the city, he said that neither the Chief Minister of the state K Chandrashekar Rao nor his cabinet colleagues had reacted on the tragic suicides of the four members of a family in Paloncha of Bhadradri Kothagudem district, nor had any of them visited the family members of the victims to console them.
He said that the people of the state would now settle for the CM at least making the MLA resign from his post.
He said that Congress leaders would visit the lands encroached upon by Vanama Raghava after the upcoming Sankranthi festival.
He demanded that the state government take over the lands grabbed by Raghava, and termed the latter more dangerous than gangster Nayeem.
