SIC Donates Rs. 1 Lakh For Uttarakhand

The State Information Commissioner (SIC) donates Rs. 1 lakh for the Uttarakhand flood victims.

The State Information Commissioner (SIC), Dr. Varre Venkateshwarlu, has announced that he will donate Rs. 1 lakh to the Uttarakhand flood victims, on Saturday.

Venkateshwarlu said that the payment of Rs. 1,00,000 by cheque (bearing No. 679809, and dated 28-06-2013) has been made to the flood victims through the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.

The cheque lists reasons for the donation as - "Due to severe flood conditions, major damage of roads, large-scale destruction of property, and the deaths of many people". (INN)
