Ursa Clusters, a US-based data centre company, today signed an MoU with the Telangana government to establish a state-of-the-art AI data centre hub in Hyderabad.
The MoU was signed in the presence of IT and Industries Minister Sridhar Babu and Special Chief Secretary of IT Jayesh Ranjan, at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
Ursa CEO Pendurthi said that the centre would feature cutting-edge infrastructure with a total capacity of 100 MW and leverage hybrid AI chips to create a robust ecosystem for startups and enterprises.
Bringing in a total investment of approximately Rs 5,000 crore, this initiative is expected to advance technological innovation and support India's vision of becoming a global leader in AI and data infrastructure.
Welcoming the announcement, Sridhar Babu said, "This partnership with Ursa Clusters strengthens Telangana's vision to become a global hub for AI and cutting-edge technology. It accelerates innovation and boosts economic growth in the region."
