Ujjaini Mahankali Bonalu On July 12, Sans People
The noted Bonalu festival jathara at the Ujjaini Mahankali temple in Secunderabad will be held on July 12 in accordance with the conditions of the lockdown.
Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today said that the noted Bonalu festival jathara at the Ujjaini Mahankali temple in Secunderabad would be held on July 12 in accordance with the conditions of the lockdown.
The general public would not be allowed, and only the temple officials, pujaris and trustee members would be allowed to perform the rituals, the minister said.
Yadav was speaking after a review of the arrangements being made at the temple, including the security and the live telecast arrangements for the Bonalu on July 12 and the rangam on July 13.
While the Bonalu would be held as per schedule, the people should watch them live and not come to the temple, the minister said.
Since the coronavirus was spreading rapidly, it had been decided by the government that festival celebrations in general would be held without public participation, Yadav added.
