The South Central Railway will run two Premium Special Trains between Secunderabad and Patna in order to handle the extra rush of passengers during summer.
Accordingly, Train No. 02791 Secunderabad-Patna Premium Special Train will depart from Secunderabad at 9:00am on Wednesday 14th May, 2014, and arrive in Patna at 1:30pm the next day.
In the opposite direction, Train No. 02792 Patna-Secunderabad Premium Special train will depart from Patna at 5:30pm on Friday, 16th May, 2014, and arrive Secunderabad at 9:25pm the next day.
These trains will have only five stoppages enroute in both the directions - Ramagundam, Nagpur, Jabalpur, Chheoki and Mughal Sarai.
The trains will consist of 16 coaches - 1 AC II Tier, 2 AC III Tier, 10 Sleeper Class, one Pantry and two Luggage cum Brake Van compartments.
"Premium Special Trains" are a reserved service aimed at meeting the heavy demand for rail travel during busy seasons on popular routes. These trains are primarily targeted at the segments of passengers who are willing to pay premium fares for confirmed berths at the time of booking itself, and availing themselves of enhanced standards of service.
The fare structure for Premium Special Trains is variable, and the fares follow a dynamic pricing model. The fares also include catering charges. The booking of tickets can be done only through IRCTC's portal on the internet. Tickets are not issued manually at reservation counters. However, vacant berths available after charting are offered at current day booking counters at the train's originating stations.
Only confirmed tickets are issued for Premium Special Trains - no waitlisted tickets are issued. There is no refund except when the train is cancelled by the railways due to unforeseen circumstances. Adult fares are charged for all passengers irrespective of their ages. No concessions are applicable on these trains. Ticket modifications / issual of duplicate tickets etc. are not permitted. (INN)
