Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu today unveiled plans to establish two new IT parks in the suburbs of Hyderabad.
Speaking at a high-level meeting with representatives from Dew Software, which is proposing an investment of Rs 100 crore, at the Secretariat, the minister said, "This investment is a testament to Hyderabad's growing stature as a preferred IT destination. Over the next five years, Dew Software will create job opportunities for 900 professionals," he said.
The minister also said that the State government was committed to fostering growth in IT, and that a detailed study was underway to identify optimal locations and determine the extent of land required for the new parks.
"Hyderabad has emerged as a rapidly growing IT hub, attracting significant investments from leading global companies. To sustain this momentum, we have decided to develop two additional IT parks, similar to HITEC City. These parks will offer world-class infrastructure and essential amenities tailored for professionals. We will also provide robust transport systems to ensure convenient commutes for employees from any part of the city," the minister said.
Acknowledging the challenges faced by industrial units in acquiring land, the minister said, "Currently, there is no specific policy for allocating land to industrial units, which has caused difficulties for entrepreneurs. We will bring a new land policy to allocate land based on the scale of the investment and the number of jobs created."
The meeting was attended by Ajit Reddy, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister; Dr Vishnuvardhan Reddy, Managing Director of TSIIC; Madhusudhan, CEO of TSIIC; Suresh, President of Dew Ventures; Jhansi Reddy, Congress in-charge for the Palakurthi Assembly constituency; and others.
