The TTD has taken strong objection to a "misleading" social media campaign by Bharat Marg, a YouTube channel, that TTD was giving Srivari darshan to selected communities.
The channel had also made an allegation that during the lockdown the Srivari naivedyam was neglected for 21 days.
In a clarification, the TTD said that to contain religious conversions, the TTD had taken up a program in collaboration with the Samarasyatha Seva Foundation to provide Srivari darshan to people belonging to the SC/ST/BC and fishermen communities of the state during the annual Brahmotsavams during October 7-14 of this year.
In the same spirit, the TTD board had also resolved to extend Vaikuntha Dwara darshan to SC/ST/BC and fishermen communities in January 2022 on Vaikuntha Ekadasi.
The board said that there was no motive to divide devoteees on a caste basis, and that such an allegation in the social media channel was seriously condemnable.
The TTD also slammed other charges that it financially supported Christian pastors, and had also provided funds for Jerusalem and Haj yatras.
"When the TTD is putting its all-out efforts to preserve the Sanatana Hindu dharma through its various activities, such cheap and baseless reports by certain vested interests trying to create unnecessary confusion among the devotees is condemnable. We appeal to the devotees to not to trust such cheap charges in the social media by some miscreants," the board said, and also warned of legal action against the perpetrators of such posts.
