The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) today told the High Court that it would announce its decision on the postponement of the upcoming Group-2 exams on the 14th of this month.
It made this submission before the HC during an hearing in a case filed by some aspirants of the exams.
The aspirants had requested the court to postpone the exams in view of the ongoing other competitive exams.
The counsel for the TSPSC argued that the preparations for the exam had already been completed and that it was difficult to postpone it at this juncture.
The HC asked the commission to take a final decision on the next date of hearing, and adjourned the case to Monday.
For the uninitiated, the Group-2 exams are scheduled to be held on August 29 and 30. 150 candidates approached the High Court seeking postponement of exams claiming that the Gurukul teachers' recruitment exams and the polytechnic junior lecturers' recruitment exams were also being held in the State, and that they were worried that they would not get enough time to prepare for the Group-2 exams.
