Nalgonda MP Gutha Sukhender Reddy said that the general public faced a lot of hardships due to the recent move to demonetize the 500 and 1,000 currency notes.
Nalgonda MP Gutha Sukhender Reddy today said that the general public faced a lot of hardships due to the recent move to demonetize the 500 and 1,000 currency notes.
Speaking to the media on Thursday, Reddy said that the move would be logical and successful only if Prime Minister Narendra Modi were to initiate action against the minority that held most of the India's wealth illegally.
Recalling Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's statement that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had taken the decision after receiving a letter from him, the MP quipped that if that were true, Naidu would also have mentioned alternatives to the ban.
Claiming that the situation of the destitute turned worse after the demonetization, Reddy asked the Centre to focus on the suggestions made by K Chandrashekar Rao on demonetization of big notes issue.
