TRS leaders today hit out at Telangana Congress president and MP Revanth Reddy for making "insulting" remarks against the party working president and minister K T Rama Rao.
Addressing a press conference, Jeevan Reddy, Kishore Babu and whip Guvvala Balraj accused the Congress leader of indulging in false propaganda, and warned him of cases if he failed to desist from making such defamatory remarks with no evidence, just to get some mileage.
Slamming Reddy for his challenge to KTR, they said that a person caught red-handed trying to bribe an MLA had no right to talk about the government.
KTR was focusing on the all-round development of the state, and Reddy would face the public wrath if he attacked a leader who was striving thus for the people, they claimed.
Warning of serious legal action against any allegations without proof, they reminded the media that KTR had already filed a defamation case against Reddy yesterday.
In addition, TRS leaders and activists would also not allow Reddy to roam freely if he continued to speak like that, they said, and demanded that Reddy apologise to the minister for his remarks.
They also said that neither Reddy nor BJP Telangana head Bandi Sanjay had any right to talk on funds or corruption as they had failed bring in any funds to the state or help develop it.
They suggested that the opposition parties were jealous of Dalit Bandhu, and were therefore desperately resorting to baseless accusations. The people would however teach them a lesson for their misinformation campaign, they claimed.
