Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay today made scathing remarks against the family of former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
Speaking to the media, he accused KCR's family of using "foul language", saying that they resorted to baseless accusations and insults against political rivals when things went against them.
He added that no one had disparaged political opponents like KCR did, and that K T Rama Rao was following in KCR's footsteps.
"Is it even worth addressing if the abuser sends a notice to me? I've already responded to the notice sent by KTR," he said.
Sanjay also criticized KTR's comments regarding the the Janwada farmhouse incident. "You should be ashamed to hold parties for Diwali. Diwali is a festival, not a party occasion; Lakshmi pujas should be performed, not parties," he said.
He also said that KCR chose to remain silent even if his party leaders faced jail time, and appeared unwilling to take on the Congress. He claimed that the State was now governed by an alliance he dubbed the RKH (Revanth Reddy, KTR, Harish Rao) government, and argued that the Congress and the BRS were essentially the same in Telangana. He said that the BJP was the only party that was taking on both the Congress and the BRS.
"If the Congress doesn't implement its six guarantees, we'll hold them accountable. We support the beautification of the Musi river, but not at the expense of the poor. We'll relentlessly pursue the Congress in this regard," he said.
