TRS Recalls Statehood Movement, KCR Hunger Strike
The TRS recalled Telangana's Statehood struggle and CM KCR's hunger strike, and said that the two Telugu States were making strides.

To mark the Deeksha Divas that got Telangana its Statehood followed by a hunger strike by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on November 29, 2009, the rank and file of the TRS today celebrated the occasion.
Home Minister Nayini Narsimha Reddy attended a play along with artistes and Partymen at a program at the Indira Park, Hyderabad. Council Chairman Swamy Goud, Government Advisor K V Ramanachary, MLA Srinivas Goud, cinema artist Suman, poet Nandini Sidha Reddy, lyricist Goreti Venkanna and others attended the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Narsihma Reddy stated that he believed Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's hunger strike to be sacred as the Centre accorded Statehood to the region soon after.
Telangana was now a new state and was making strides in every field under the able leadership of KCR, he said.
In New Delhi, TRS MPs conducted the ceremony at Telangana Bhavan and garlanded a photograph of Telangana ideologue Professor Jayashankar. At the same venue, recalling the struggle for Statehood, K Keshava Rao said that KCR was similar to Mahatma Gandhi.
Kavitha, Captain Lakshmikanth Rao, Jithender Reddy, B Narsaiah Goud, D Srinivas, Suman and others spoke as well.
