The Telangana Rashtra Samithi has named Kotha Prabhakar Reddy as its candidate for the Medak Lok Sabha by-elections.

Prabhakar Reddy is the owner of Sony Travels, with assets worth more than Rs 1,000 crores.

His candidature has been preferred over TNGOs President Devi Prasad. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has assured that Devi Prasad will be made a Member of the Legislative Council, as his services were required in the State.

He said that Devi Prasad had rendered selfless services for the employees and the statehood movement, and they would be recognised. (INN)
