"TRS Ministers Also Constructed Indiramma Houses"

Congress MLA D K Aruna today sought to know when the State government intended to complete the construction of the 2.60 lakh double bedroom houses it had promised.

Participating in a short discussion on housing for weaker sections, including Rajiv Swagruha, Rajiv Gruhakalpa and Double Bedroom scheme in the Assembly on Tuesday, Aruna alleged that the State government constructed only 1,200 double bedroom houses in the last two years. She also asked the government to make the report of the CID probe into the Indiramma Housing Scheme scam and the names of those involved.

She also said that Ministers T Harish Rao, K T Rama Rao, Etela Rajender and MLA Konda Surekha also constructed houses under Indiramma in their constituencies.

"Did corruption took place there also," she asked and demanded the release of pending bills of the Indiramma houses, and also the completion of the construction of pending homes.

She also alleged that the State government was constructing 2,000 additional double bedroom houses in Siddipet constituency without notice. And demanded that the government construct houses in all the constituencies in the State regardless of political affiliation.
